ST. LOUIS — Investing services company Scottrade, Inc. earned Best Overall Experience and Best New Tool in the Stockbrokers.com 2014 Online Broker Review. The firm also placed Best in Class in categories: Education, Mobile Trading and New Investors.

“Scottrade defines what a broker-client relationship should be, with everything from opening an account to placing a trade or receiving professional guidance; it is a straightforward and enjoyable experience,” according to the review. “Scottrade offers the most personalized customer service out of any of the full-service brokers I’ve tested. And considering the competition, this is no small feat.”

StockBrokers.com Co-founder and CEO Blain Reinkensmeyer conducts the annual review by testing 17 brokers throughout the year assessing them in 266 different variables.

During the review period Scottrade rolled out FRIPTM, which earned the industry’s No. 1 New Tool nod. Reinkensmeyer selected the tool citing how the flexible reinvestment program enables clients to pool dividends from dividend-paying equities to buy, commission-free, up to five eligible securities at a time.

Scottrade also introduced its asset-allocation tool Scottrade® Portfolio Manager, and the newScottrade® Mobile app for the iPhone®, iPad® and AndroidTM. “We work to closely understand our clients’ goals so that we can bring the right investing and trading tools to the market,” said Derrick Brooks, Scottrade’s vice president, digital solutions.

Scottrade’s investment consultants in branch offices across the country spend time with clients discussing how they can use Scottrade’s tools and resources to help them achieve financial success. In the company’s service centers, new teams are being added to provide more specialized services, including a group dedicated to active traders. And, behind the scenes, associates are gathering client feedback and partnering with Information Technology to continue to improve Scottrade’s products and services and quickly bring them to market.
